✨ Building Healthy Choices at East Middle School! ✨

This month, our Lifeways Counselors are sharing resources to help families start age-appropriate conversations about alcohol and other drugs and to celebrate Red Ribbon Week 2025: “Life Is a Puzzle—Solve It Drug-Free!”

Every positive choice helps students build their masterpiece one healthy decision at a time.

Parents and caregivers—your conversations make a difference! Check out the flyers below for tips on talking with kids at every age. 💬

Changing Seasons Reminder

As we transition into the cooler fall and winter months, we want to remind families to ensure students come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Temperatures can fluctuate throughout the day, and students spend time outdoors during arrival, dismissal, and whenever conditions allow.

Please encourage your child to wear or bring layers—such as a warm jacket, sweatshirt, hat, and gloves—so they can stay comfortable and safe throughout the day. It’s also helpful to label outerwear items with your child’s name, as lost and found tends to fill up quickly this time of year.

We appreciate your support in helping students stay warm, healthy, and ready to learn each day!

No School 10/31

There will be no school on Friday, October 31st!

School will resume Monday, November 3rd.

Annual Blood Drive – November 13

We’re proud to once again host our Annual Blood Drive on Wednesday, November 13, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the school gym. Donating blood is a simple way to make a life-saving difference in our community—one donation can help save up to three lives!

We encourage parents, staff, and community members to sign up and participate. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are appreciated to help keep things running smoothly.

Thank you for supporting this important event and helping us give back to those in need!
