East Middle School PTA

IMPORTANT PTA NEWS!

Attention Parents/Guardians โ€“

The East Middle School PTA had their first meeting of the year on September 11th, 2025. With attendance at this meeting being extremely low, a hard decision was made. Without the needed volunteers to help plan and run the event, we will have no choice but to cancel Turkey Bingo. If you are able to volunteer, please contact us by September 26th, 2025. If we do not have the needed volunteers by this date, there will be no Turkey Bingo this year. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Jennifer Millard at Jennifer.Millard@k12.sd.us

The PTA cannot run without a board. We are looking for new board members: ALL positions are currently available. If you have any questions or would like to participate and be a part of the board, please reach out to Kim Weaver at Kimberly.weaver@k12.sd.us

Unfortunately, with low attendance at our monthly meetings and the possible cancelation of our main fundraiser, the East PTA will struggle to support our school community: funding conference meals for teachers, cool incentives for students, help with teacher appreciation week, and more. These are things the students and staff look forward to each year. If this trend continues with no attendance at meetings, the East PTA will have to dissolve, and East will lose an important and helpful resource.

If you have any questions about anything involving the PTA, please reach out to Kim Weaver or Jennifer Millard at the addresses above.

Thank You,

East PTA
