School Council Representatives Needed

We are updating our school councils for this year! Each school has both Parent Council and Teacher Council representatives who meet regularly throughout the year to support our school community.

We are currently looking for:

  • A Parent Council Representative

  • A Teacher Council Representative

If you are interested in serving as our Parent Council Representative, please let us know by September 24.

School Clubs

Raptor Den After-School Tutoring

The Raptor Den (after-school tutoring) will begin next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 15, 16, & 17 only.

  • Students can sign up with their EI teacher.

  • Please make sure students know their transportation plan (walking, being picked up, or riding the bus).

đź“Ť Raptor Den takes place in room 203 after school until 4:00 p.m.

  • 4:15 – Origin East MS (loading behind school by football field)

  • Drop off:

    • 4:22 – Copperfield Dr. @ Cadillac Dr.

    • 4:28 – 4887 Longview Rd. (Dollar General)

Game nights will be Thursdays, and gametime will be 3:07-5:00 with pickup/cleanup starting at 4:50. Room 231.

Student Council meets every other Monday in Room 204. Next meeting is Monday, September 15.

Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:15-4:15 in room 226.

Athletic Event Expectations

Fans attending athletic events are reminded that they are still on school grounds, and all school rules remain in place.

  • Fans waiting out front are expected to behave appropriately and show respect to visiting teams and families as they enter East Middle School.

  • Fans/spectators must remain in the stands and should not move to other areas of the school or grounds, or roam/play/hang out outside the game location.

  • Administrators have the authority to restrict continued entrance to after-school sporting events if a student repeatedly misbehaves.

  • If a student is asked to leave, parents will be contacted for immediate pick-up.

  • After each game, we kindly ask everyone to clean up their area and help pick up any trash left behind.

Student Academic Requirements

  • 5 or fewer missing assignments

  • No more than 1 F on Skyward

  • A current physical on file

  • Activities concussion form completed (found under Online Forms in Skyward Family Access)

  • $25 registration fee paid
